Special Events cover the range from 3 players to large fleet actions, single multi-player battles to mult-battle campaigns and everything in between. If it's not 1 player versus 1 player for 1 battle, it's most likely a special event candidate. Due to their special nature, only a few are going on at anytime. However, a new one starts every so often, so check back often. Or feel free to start one yourself.
